Gornergrat and Matterhorn

Gornergrat is a ridge of the Alps in Switzerland, overlooking the Gorner Glacier to the south. In the background is the Matterhorn (4,478 metres high).
Gornergrat became accessible by train in 1898, which climbs almost 1500m through Riffelalp and Riffelberg. Looking at modern photos the building on this picture is no more...
