Algiers Cathedral

Great picture in lovely colours of the Cathedral in Algiers, the capitol of Algeria, at this time still a dependent of France.
It is situated at the foot of the Casbah and before the independence this was called the cathedral of St Philippe (created in 1845 from an existing mosque from 1612). After independence it reverted back and is now known as the Ketchaoua mosque.
