Castle Rosendael in Arnhem, the Netherlands
Castle built by the Dukes of Gelre in the late Middle Ages, situated in Rozendaal, just outside Arnhem, the Netherlands.
It was first mentioned in literature in 1314. Only part of the castle has remained (as seen on the picture). During WWII the castle was hit by an allied bomb and left as a ruin, until 1977 when it was restored again. Now a UNESCO site / monument.
