This is Dijon, France supposedly around 1890. Notice the absence of traffic. Dijon is a city in eastern France, the Bourgogne region. The Romans called it Divio, and it is located on the road from Lyon to Paris.
Besides being famous for its wine it also is well known for Dijon mustard (moutarde de Dijon). Even though there is no guarantee that when you buy Dijon mustard it is actually produced there :)
