Ambleside, Lake District, England

Lovely scenic view over Ambleside (Cumbria) in the rolling hills of the Lake District of England. Ambleside sits at the head of Lake Windermere, though it isn't visible in this picture.
In the middle of the picture, on the edge of town, is the 1850s St. Mary's Church. Not sure what the building in the front left is, thought it might be Rothay Manor but the location seems wrong somehow.

Comments

Building front left is Loughrigg Brow, built in 1863 in the Gothic style - similar to St Mary's Church, which was built in the early Gothic style. Loughrigg Brow used to be part of the CHA but now it has become holiday flats.
