Carlingford Lough, Co Down Ireland

Picture of the sea loch Carlingford Lough, situated on border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. It is a lovely spot with plenty of flora and fauna and a popular location for angling and yachting.
It has a less cheerful event in its history though, on 3 November 1916 the SS Connemara and the SS Retriever, two Steam Ships, collided and sank in the loch with the loss of 94 lives.

This picture however, shows it in its unspoilt beauty.
