Bournemouth from Westcliff

Picture of what I think is the pier of Bournemouth, Dorset, England. It is taken from the west cliff. Not one hundred percent certain as the text on this photochrom is unreadable. But I found a photo on another site taken from virtually the same spot, only 30 years later. And it is unmistakeably the Bournemouth pier.
As far as I've been able to figure out the pier was finished in 1880, which seems about right for this pic.
