Chioggia

A great colorful picture of part of Chioggia (Canal Vena?), a unique town situated on a small island about 25 miles south of Venice. The island is fully developed and looking at this picture is has the same feel as Venice (a miniature of it really).
Being an island (with only two causeways in and out for land vehicles) a lot of the transport and indeed daily life was and is based on all sorts of water crafts: boats, barges, pushed, sailing, anything...
