Picture of Llangollen

A lovely scenic view of the small town of Llangollen in Wales (nearly a vista with the trees framed on both sides). The river in front is the Dee and the hills in the back are the edge of the Berwyn mountains.
The history of the town dates back to the 6th century when a monk (Saint Collen) founded a church here.
The bridge that is just about recognisable is an old one: built around 1345. It has been extended a bit here though to accommodate for the railways.
