Abbot's Hospital in Guildford

Picture of the Hospital of the Blessed Trinity, better known as Abbot's Hospital. The hospital was founded by George Abbot, the Archbishop of Canterbury, in 1619.
Situated on the High Street in Guildford, it is and is opposite to the Holy Trinity Church, where George Abbot is buried.
This picture also gives you a nice view of the High Street as it was well before the days of the motorvehicle. Note the carriages parked on the right, people shopping and hanging around, and one reading a newspaper.
