View of Weymouth from the Nothe

Photochrome 10790 shows a nice view of Weymouth and Weymouth Bay, Dorset, England. The title of this picture mentions it has been taken from the Nothe. I assume it meant the Nothe Fort, situated at the mouth of Weymouth Harbour. The Nothe fort was built in 1872 to protect Portland's harbour, which became an important Royal Navy base.
