Einsiedeln is a municipality in the canton of Schwyz, Switzerland. Known for its monastery, the Benedictine Einsiedeln Abbey which is dedicated to Our Lady of the Hermits. It is considered an important Roman Catholic pilgrimage site dedicated to the Virgin Mary.
