Picture of Largs

Photochrom 13036 shows the Scottish seaside town of Largs, on the west coast, near Glasgow. This picture mentions it has been taken from the Red Road.

Largs has a rich history with links to the Vikings and it was the site of a battle between the Norwegians and Scottish armies.

I've spend a night in Largs and actually think it is quite an enjoyable place, though the looks of it has obviously changed dramatically :)
